Chartered Accountants of Alberta ABORIGINAL STUDENT BUSINESS AWARD

DEADLINE:  March 15, 2013   
VALUE:  $2,500 (One Award)      
CRITERIA:  Aboriginal grade 12 student enrolled at an Alberta high school, who has a combined overall average of 80 per cent at time of application. Successful applicant must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in business and/or accounting.   

Applicants must:

·         be a person who not only declares himself or herself to be an Aboriginal person, but is also either a Status Indian, an Inuit, a Metis person, or a Non-Status Indian and a resident of Alberta

·         submit a letter or video (2 to 3 minutes) outlining why he or she is planning to pursue a career in business and or as a Chartered Accountant

·         must submit most recent transcripts to demonstrate minimum overall average of 80 per cent

·         submit one (1) letter of support from a current teacher (instructor)    


Applications will be accepted in two ways: by mail or by email.   

Mailed applications must be postmarked on or before March 15, 2013. Emailed applications must be submitted by midnight (MST) on March 15, 2013.
