  • Present a minimum cumulative average of 85%.

Selection Criteria

Character, service and leadership are the selection criteria for Loran Awards. Loran scholars are people of strong moral character who have demonstrated academic excellence and potential as leaders. They are curious by nature, interested in a wide range of subjects and willing to take meaningful risks. They prioritize results over appearances and value integrity and honesty. Though they study diverse subjects, and go on to work in a variety of fields, they share a common commitment to their university and larger communities.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Apply directly through the website by Oct. 22, 2020.

  1. Harry Ainlay is able to support 3 applicants through the sponsored pool. This means that we consider you to be one of our top candidates based on the selection criteria. If you would like to be considered as a sponsored applicant, please email your “scholarship resume” (list of leadership and volunteer activities) to Mrs. Boan in Student Services shelley.boan@epsb.ca by Oct. 2, 2020. We will notify chosen applicants so they can submit their application by Oct. 15, 2020.

Mrs. Boan is hosting a Google meet for students with questions on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 at 12:05 pm. The link is :         meet.google.com/spg-mgbu-hdg
